The RTR setup is sensitive to gearing.

I installed the 2-speed option for running on the trails and rocks, and the Castle fan for 36 mm motors because when I added it to my last order it got me free shipping from amazon.

Castle Creations 011-0014-00cc 14 Series Blower for 36mm Motors

I picked up a small 40mm 6.5cfm 12v fan from the local electronics shop and fabricated a bracket out of 1/16th ABS to hold it over the esc. This runs directly off of the 3s battery. It sits a little crooked to allow for the cables underneath.
