can i use the batt port on my receiver to power lights??

Yup. That port provides power at whatever voltage the BEC is supplying the RX. What ESC are you running? If it is an RTR ESC there might be power issues that could cause a brown out. |

im using a roc412 with rsgen2 esc so no power issues with me lol. thanks for the help!

3 or 4 leds should be fine, just be careful if it's a super bright lightbar, read the amp draw(s) for the lights, add them up, check against ESC/RX capability and leave a little buffer. |
