Default Fly Fishing Antennae

I have this radio...https://www.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...=LXSNP1**&P=SM

I was wondering if there is an alternative to the fly fishing length antennae. Need the radio's 4 channels but don't wanna change the radio... is there a PnP short replacement?

Default Re: Fly Fishing Antennae

You're stuck with the long antenna because it's 27mHz AM, and antenna length is a function of radio wavelength (lower=longer). Anything shorter would significantly shorten range. A quarter-wave antenna for 2.4gHz is ~31mm while 27mHz is 2777mm, but they use a loading coil to use a much smaller antenna.
