Huge bunch of bullshitting going on. 1001 oz at 7.4 volts and 1600 oz at 8.4 volts? Riiiight I wanna know where these mythical 12 seals go since there are only 4 places for water to enter.

As usual I'll take one for the team and buy one but I really don't expect to eat my words.

Must be 8 small seals on the screws holding the case together, two seals between the case sections, one at the spline, and he must be counting the one sealing where the cord exits.

So to sound more betterer hes counting the "seals" that everyone installs as if they're exclusive to the queefs servo.

I'm with White-Trash on this one. I'm no expert on servos but everything I've calculated on servos relative to torque increase vs voltage seems to be pretty linear. Example, if the servo puts out 200 oz at 4.8V then at 6V it is usually around 250 +/- (200/4.8 x 6) and then at 7.4V would be about 308 (200/4.8 x 7.4).

IF you can get 1001 oz out this thing at 7.4V then by my calculations at 8.4V would be about 1136 oz. and that is a BIG IF.

But as I already said, I'm no expert!

Hey White-Trash, you have one of those Futaba A700's from Ebay (or the like) right? That's really the only other standard size servo that's batting in this ballpark, right? How's that thing holding up? After running the 2290 for almost a year, I can certainly appreciate a truly strong servo, and could see putting 1,000+oz to use. I've seen way too much blind fanboyism with the Reef's brand, so I'm not exactly itching to jump on board with this one. Honest long term user feedback would help sway me, but I'd still want to know how the competition stacks up.

Yea I have an a700. Not a bad servo but so far there really doesn't seem to be much difference between it and a 2290 as far as strength.

Even if this thing magically makes the numbers he claims. What kind of BEC is going to be needed to power this thing. If real, I bet it stalls at well over 10 amps.

That video was posted 5 days ago so this servo must be nearly 3/4 through a left to right, full travel swing by now.

But it’s a REEFS !!!!!!!!!!!!
They never have had a failure, design and build all their servos in house, and Walt Disney was my dads brother.

Yeah sure!

I’m sticking with the 2290.....
