| Li-ion and lipo compatibility
My dad bought a cheap crawler that uses a 1500mah li-ion and Im wondering if I can use a lipo?(the esc doesn't have any settings for that sort of thing) Sent from my Lenovo TB-7304F using Tapatalk |

The voltage specs are roughly the same, but getting the battery to connect to the charger would be difficult. A picture of the battery would help.

If there are no settings for lipo don't try it. You will over discharge the battery and cause damage. That's the difference between an esc that works with lipo and a nicad one. The voltage cutoff, that's it. You could alternatively use a cheap voltage alarm plugged into the balance port. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk |
