Angry Stripped wires on Savox 1210sg

So I finally decided to upgrade my cheap 20kg servo on my Gen 8 to a Savox 1210sg. The opening to actually fit the servo through the frame is very tight. I had to pull the wires through to get the servo wires to the top. In doing so I stripped two wires that lead into the servo. They are exposed and touching together now. Any ideas on how to fix this? I thought about putting electrical tape but again there are a red and a blue lead that are touching next to each other and exposed.

Any help would be appreciated!

its easy to pop open and just cut them off and resolder. Thats what I would do. Is it literally into the the rubber grommet where stripped?

If not just spread and tape them

That's crap advice, it's pretty damn hard to get at the solder pads without destroying a 1210.

How so? You mean as in losing its waterproof capabilities? Maybe so, but a little shoegoo could help if you were that worried about it. If the wires are stripped into the case what would you suggest then, as you clearly have the ins and outs of this servo? Assembly and components are the same as a standard servo, and if hes capable of soldering this is a very simple task.

Far from a "standard" servo, have you opened a 1210?

Yes, except mine was a completely smoked literally charred board (came used in a rig ). It is very standard, nothing special about it. Remove top and bottom screws, desolder pot, remove motor screws pull out board, repair wire and reassemble. In all fairness, I did not reassemble but not sure what could have gone wrong. Would take all of a 15 min to repair.

However,, after reading OP post again, I think they are stripped outside the case anyways, so I would just tape it.

Try liquid electrical tape. You should be able to apply a small amount between the individual wires. The can will come with a brush inside the lid. Try applying it with a Q-tip. Good luck!

Thank you! I will give this a shot and see if it works.

Yup, as was mentioned this is the perfect application for liquid electrical tape (and pretty much the only way that stuff should be used)
