Default Servo > balance plug adapters?

Does anyone sell a harness so I can plug a servo into the balance plug of my 2S LiPos? I can't solder and electronics aren't my strong suit so I'm looking for something premade to put a better servo (ProModeler 470) in my TRX4 w/o having to use a BEC - figure someone surely makes an adapter cable for a few bucks vs the $35 a HeyOk cost me (I have one in my truggy). I see pretty much every other kind of harness out there but can't come up with the right search terms I guess to find this.

I'm looking for a premade harness - splitting power off the OEM servo lead to a 2S balance plug and providing a lead w/plug for the ESC.

The linked item is just the plug w/lead, could be used to make one but I can't solder as mentioned plus the supplies to do so would equal buying a BEC. Just looking to see if I can skip a BEC and power directly like a Holmes servo is setup to do.

Ok, I hope I guess it right this time. Something like this?
It takes the current directly from the battery via balance port.

Can that serve handle 8.4v? I'd just do it properly and get a bec if your esc cant handle it.

Your answer is a bec, set to 8.4v
Use a Holmes RX bypass and it’s plug and play.

https://holmeshobbies.com/electronic...s-adapter.html

This is how all my ProModelers run at 8.4v and my rx still at 6

Hang up and Drive

Ok the thing is that if you want to bypass the BEC you have 3 options.

1.- To setup the ESCs internal BEC to 8.4v and go through your receptor ( that will burn any other thing you may have connected to it)
2.- Get a servo that can handle 12v and already has two connectors, one for energy and one for the signal.
3 .- Use a BEC and set it for your needs.

I have a 3brothers servo that is 12v and I go directly to my 3s

I wouldn't get a 12v servo for 2S.

Undervolting electronics is just as bad as overvolting it.

As a general rule, plus or minus 10% of its rated voltage is safe for most electronics.

Actually that’s right. And reduces the possibilities.

MrCrawley, yes thank you! That should allow me to run the servo direct off the battery without having to tap into anything or create new connections.

The Promodeler servos can take 8.4V, I run 2S so direct off the LiPo would be fine. I can always try a BEC but it doesn't seem like it is needed in this application.
