Default Cross rc light module causes servo glitches

I wired up my bc8 and everything is working with one exception. It appears something about the lighting module, which gives you turn signals, causes the steering servos to glitch. Here is a video of it happening.

https://youtu.be/2YyHOEci0AI

When I disconnect the light module and run the servos directly to the RX they work fine.

Anyone else use a cross rc light system and have issues? Any recommendations of things I could do to fix the situation?

I can't see if you are running a separate BEC in the video. If the servos are plugged in to the receiver, you may be short of amps required to operate the servos. I had a similar issue on a 4WS setup and adding a BEC to power the servos sorted things out nicely.

Also seems like the more throttle, the worse the glitching gets. Again possibly an indication of a power supply issue.

You might try disconnecting 1 of the servos and do the same test you did in the video. 1/2 the power draw and if that works better it would suggest a separate BEC is required.

You are correct that the issue gets worse at higher throttle, which is interesting.

As far as BEC I'm not running one because I'm using holmes shv500v2 servos powered directly off the battery. Since the problem doesn't appear when I don't have the light module connected in. Could signal noise come from a light module? It gets its power from the receiver so I wouldn't think that would happen.

I have the Cross light module as well, not have not seen that problem,

Not sure what paper work you got with it. Cause most times these adds on do not come with any useful instruction.

You are welcome to what I have, see if you can spot something.

Mine did come with the same diagrams. What kind of servo are you running?

Another thought. Because you are running the servo with direct battery power, I am assuming you only have the white signal wire from the servo connected to Ch1 of the light controller. Is the wire from the receiver to Ch1 just the signal wire or do you have the + and - wires connected as well? Might only need the signal wire from the receiver to the light controller. Might need the ground wire as well but maybe not the power wire. Couple of things to test . . . . . . .

My HV500, direct powered by the battery, has the same issue you mention, but only on one Lipo Pack with a low C-Rating. If I use my higher C Lipos the issue is gone.
