Titan 21t 550 vs Novak Fifty-Five.

Of these two motors, which would you run and why?

I'm sitting here staring at this Fifty-Five that I've hardly used. I bought it for another project that never really got finished so it's just sitting here looking for a home. At the same time I've already got the Titan 550 in the truck. It was a pull from a 1st generation EMaxx. I've heard good things about them.

Given the choice between the two, which would go in your rig?

The titan. The Novak is slooooow at 55 turns and it also uses a shorter can, so unless it's got significantly better components (which wouldn't be hard to do compared to a titan) it's very likely that it makes less power than the 21t titan. While I'm sure the 55 would work just fine, I certainly wouldn't bother taking the titan out for it.

It would depend what rig. Something crawler-y, 55T all the way. Something trail-y, probably the 21T.

Yeah this rig's more trail-y and mild so I'll stick with the 21T.

I ran a 55 on 4s in my trail ascender for a bit. It was a great trail motor on 4s, on 3s I did not like it. If going 3 or 2s go w the Titan.
