| TRX 6 Receiver Bind Problem with Mamba X
I am having a problem getting my TRX6 receiver and TRX6 transmitter to work with my new Mamba X. I’m sure it is user error. I can put the transmitter in re-bind mode by flashing red. Then I hold the button on the receiver per the manual and then I turn on the Mamba X via the switch but I it will not bind. The receiver still flashes red and I have no controls working. Any ideas on what I’m doing wrong?

I think you might have to bind the RX to the Tx first, then calibrate the esc to the Tx. Sounds as if your trying to do 2 separate procedures as 1. I don't think the Tx and Rx are talking. I bought my trx6 last week, and I had to bind them out of the box. First time that's happened with any new trx that I've bought Sent from my moto e5 cruise using Tapatalk Last edited by rag6; 08-04-2020 at 11:40 AM. |

Yeah it's 2 things Bind the Receiver with the radio first. Then calibrate the ESC with the radio. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk |

I just got my TRX6 a few days ago and the receiver was bound to the transmitter. It has been run for about 30 minutes and everything worked fine. I am installing the 1406-2280 Castle crawler motor and Mamba X. I do not have my motor in but I am just trying to bind the receiver again as the receiver flashes red ever since I plugged in the Mamba. I have followed the Traxxas directions where you hold the set button the transmitter to put in bind mode and it flashes red no problem. Then I hold the Link button on the receiver and then turn on the power button to the Mamba and it is supposed to go to green but the receiver continues to flash red. One other thing to note is the transmitter goes green so it looks good from that side just not good from the receiver. It definitely isn’t connected but I’m not sure what to do? Any other ideas would be appreciated. Thanks. |

Call Traxxas customer service line. They are pretty good with binding issues... Sent from my moto e5 cruise using Tapatalk |

I FOUND MY PROBLEM! I knew it had to be user error and it was. I was looking at the plugs again and it helps if you plug it in correctly I had it upside down....OOPS! Thanks for your feedback though. |

There should be no need to rebind the TX/RX that combo does not change, the Mamba X simply plugs into CH2 in place of the XL5 ESC then you follow the Mamba X instructions on calibrating the ESC
