man I dont think you want the 4.5 that thing is way fast. to much for crawling If you want to go brushless look at novak's crawler set up. or check out some of the stuff from JRH.

The 4.5r is all about speed, no low end to it. Get a crawler system and if you use like 7-8 cells on it you'd have plenty of speed, but that also depends on your gearing. There are a number of ways to get you the speed you want.

a 4.5 has alot more then decent speed they are very fast. the crawlers system from novak does have good wheels speed if you want faster I would go with a novak 13.5 but I think that is still to fast.

You want go wheel speed and low end torque everybody is using some kind of a lathe motor 35 to 65 single its not about speed its about crawling |

If you want more speed than a 35t motor gives, you wont have any low speed control and your suspension certainly wont be set up for crawling. What ESC and battery are you using right now? |

John is correct. Put your 35t on a 3 cell lipo. You'll be in good shape.....other than buying tires all the time. |

My ears were burning. A mamba max and 3 cell lipo is probably all he needs. |

Sounds odd. The 35t will run the same speed with a higher gear. Are you running the same packs in both? Dead cell maybe????? Something wrong with the 35t making it lazy???? Never ran a pede tranny, are ALL pede trannies the same gear ratio? Weight of both rigs?(might make a small difference....) Are you SURE it's a 35t? Maybe it got put in the wrong package. Stranger things have happened. Thats all I can think of. | |

tire size will make a diffrence in your roll out as well he has smaller tires on the one with the 35 turn he also has it geared up a tad but it may be enough that they are running about the same speed. mashers are alot taller then claw dawgs. all the pedes have the same gear ratio. but like raptor said it could be a bad motor or battery. |

Raptor hit all the points I would suspect, the 35t should be running much faster. Bad battery pack binding (bad) somewhere motor not really a 35t motor is shot and needs a rebuild or replacement Ran the 35t through the water? |

The tires will make a difference, but unless you are running a huge difference in size the 35t should still be way faster. Do you use the same battery for both rigs? |

i had differeny batterys in both rigs. the 35t motor is only a little bit faster when fully charge bbattery once its starts running it slows down to about the same speed
