Default F350 Wroncho/Truggyish

Picked up a builders GK when I came across a killer deal. It’s been sitting in the box in another box for a while now. Well the time had come to start. The weather is nicer and the kids are playing longer so I have a bit more time. Was hoping to finish it for PLBTF this year and but maybe next year.

The kit is going together as smooth as can be. First builders kit in a long time. The hard plastic brings back building AE buggies and stadium trucks.

The body I plan on keeping a single cab and putting some sort of interior. I’d like to make a metal cage but will try and incorporate the GK cage for now.

Wanting a clean and direct powered setup I went with a HH SVH650 to point it where ever it goes, and HW Fusion Pro, Prolines g8 TSL on Chineseum bead locks.

I’ll likely use it more of a trailing rig but want it to slink around when needed. The trans is finished minus mounting the motor and has the first overdrive. Progress as of tonight I finished the links along with the axles and most of the chassis but not all together. Wouldn’t be complete without pictures.

2 of the 4 shocks are done. Went together nicely as expected. Kinda bummed that there were not aluminum caps or bottoms.

As the daylight ended I quickly tried to put the motor in, but the screws bottomed out before I was able to tighten it down all the way. Not sure if the other set would allow deeper or if I need to get some 6mm fhs.

It was a bit smaller than I expected from the measurements but that’s fine. I plan on pinching the nose anyways. I’m not so much in a rush anymore but would definitely like to finish soon. There are a few projects on the bench that I would like to finish and reorganize.
