Thanks for the video! Ok, I see how that can be used. I guess it is just a different way of using/thinking about a disconnect. My experience with ARBs and full size crawlers was clouding my vision of RC applications. Cheers |

You'll notice that shaft driven trucks like the Axial have a freewheel setting on their dig as well as a locked setting, but that used more for steep climbs than turning.

Fullsize (1:1) Rock crawlers use dig set ups also. They work the same way just like a cutting brake.

this is my new dig set up, I kept burning the radioshack switches so with the help of this forum I replaced them with some 25 amp switches. set up is a little over 1 1/2" wide and about that tall. without this forum I wouldnt have been able, thank you. |

Since rear DIG is not widely used. Where is the wiring schematic for DIG that is Lock and Free for the rear ? Trying to search but you know how that goes, spend half the day reading through builds only to find the mention of DIG or the wrong kind |

THAT is NOT a pic of a dig . It's a pic of a crawler Other than the First wire diagram this thread lacks the full details. Half a pic of a dig unit does not explain what is at the other ends of the wires !! and what it does people Last edited by toy4crawlin; 08-18-2009 at 04:17 PM.

can someone help me on this.:?i wired every thing exactly like the way this thread stated and for some reason one motor goes the opposite direction as the other motor.so what i tried on one of the motors i put the pos on the neg and the neg on the pos now they go same way but the motors i have have a little light on the back of them so now when i go foward anly the rear motor lights up and when i go backwards the front motor lights up i want both to light up at the same time. im running a sidewinder esc and later on might up grade to punk dig switch. Thanks,Andrew. |
