Those will last forever!! As long as you don't hook a servo up to it.

thanks for the encoragemet there its not the final product its just there temporarily till i get final measurements to make some parts . like i said i dont know if it will work but they use it for nitro all the time and saw an oportunity to use it here. if you look at all the truggys they all have some sort of bell crank connecting them to the steering tires. but all your oppinions are welcome

the ideas is good, the plastic is BAD!

you need to make some parts out of aluminum or metal after you figure out what all you need.

the plastic isn't going to hold up.

Keep working on it dude. A buddy of mine had this idea, but he never went anywhere with it. See if you can get it working.

i think this will work, after trying the 45 degree bell cranks i came up with these. i made them out of some 3/8 or 1.4 inch round steel stock and dont know the angle but i believe its close to 30 or 35 degree bend. i still need to clean it up so there arent any jagged edges but it will miss the tires. the drag link goes up top and i believe i can get the servo to face the rear ....

now on to the pics

the only thing behind the axle are the steering arms, this was never to put the linkages behind the axle there is no way. all that could be done was raise the drag link above the motor line near the upper links and put the servo facing behind the axle . this way you will hit the tranny before you hit the drag link, waaaay before

i couldnt get the servo to fit on the axle if i kept it that way. i had a problem getting the servo mount on with the servo. the way its now i have the drag link just under the servo plate and the servo arm above it and still clears the shocks (which i forgot about)

If you plan on using your newly fabbed high steer are you will need a extremely strong servo to steer. Shortening the lever arm of the knuckle will decrease your servo strength proportionally.

good thinking,
so after some tweeking and some moving around some things i got the servo facing back again and it misses the shock . now i need to fix the tires they are falling off the rims since i only have 2 screws holding them in.
