| Light or heavy? What is your setup?
I just weighed my rig and with Battery it is right at 8.0lb. Just curious what other Bergs are, and what everyone prefers on a Berg, light or heavy?

Heading toward "Light as possible" and I figure if I don't like it at least I can choose exactly where the weight goes back on.

Mine ia just over 6 lbs with 16 gauge wire and delirin wheels. But I only have four ounces in the front and think it could use a little more weight there. I might try swapping the rears to a lighter wheel though before I add more. Wow thats light, what motors are you running with that battery? |

Was at 7+ Now below 6. All my weight was in the wheels. I picked up a light set, kept them light, now I can switch back and forth depending on conditions. I have noticed that the light truck really needs to be lower to keep a good plant... so I have to adjust the shocks a little when running the light wheels. |

I have no idea, I really don't care either, I run a little try it with less, if it works better, try a little less, then add, then add some more, then subtract.....

It doesnt matter how much weight you run if your suspension does not compensate for the weight. For instance, I ran my rig with no weight in the wheels but had losi red springs which are heavier than a lot of the others. The rig sucked because it drove like a stick. I added about 12oz. to each front and 9oz. to each rear and that spring rate was perfect IMO. So if you want a light rig or a heavy rig, make sure your spring is right otherwise theres no point to the weight. My rule of thumb is heavy wheels, heavier springs. And lighter wheels, lighter springs. |

| 4.94lb on the fancy scale at the hoobby shop. Ok, they are lighter HR axles, KK zero 4.0, traxxas big bores W losi gold/gray, dual fxrs, 4pk, proline slash rear wheels and dna fronts with no weight. It is too light, needs some more wieght in the front. Will end up under 6 easy.

I need pics of the 5lb Berg! My Berg was about 7.7lbs when I put in on the shelf, and my plastic axle, plastic wheel, delrin chassis, little 4XX motor MOA RS10 rig is coming in just shy of 5lbs. If you got your Berg down to 5lbs, congrats!! But I got to see some pics of how you did it. edit: nevermind............................the rig in question wasn't even a Berg |
