| Best Lockouts for the money
I want to see what others think are the best rear lockouts for a Berg. I know it is personal preference but just to get an idea. Thanks in Advance |

I don't like the idea of hacking up my axle tubes and being stuck with shafts that are expensive and easy to bend. < that puts CKRC out. Fubars are really nice but I have heard from several people that they start to get some slop in them after a while. Making them out of something other than aluminum would solve that problem. Would rather not have to cut up a knuckle. want to have them for spares. < puts them out. JP has what at this time seems to be the best design. They replace the knuckles so you don't have to modify any thing. So it is totally reversable without having to buy any other parts to do it. < Winner in my book. |

I had to hack up my axle tubes for CKRC's, which i knew when i bought them. They were a bitch to get on correctly. I had to put 4 set screws for the lockouts (on each side) to hold it to the axle tube. Two just wasn't going to hold them on tight. Comp with another guy that had the same issue. But once they are on, they work fine. No issues yet, no slop (but I did use 4 sets screws on each tube). Just my .02 |

i like the ckrc idea but i had similar issues as others with mine. i sold those axles to almighty malachy and he likes them. i just got a set of jp customs and they are awesome. i love the way they fit over the c's . a little bulkier than some but rock solid design.

If I would do it again I would pick jeepindoug's or fubar lockouts again. If you want jp's lockouts better get them before they run out. | |

I have two sets of the JP customs and I like them. Perfect fit, no fuss, no modifications and nice owner. I like the CKRC idea, but because of there known customer and product issues I stay away. |

I run CKRC's along with my wife and all I am going to say is that I have a small box of bent shafts. I love the design but the shafts are easily bent. I am hoping the shafts that LetsHandleIt will be my final fix. If not I am going to replace the axle tubes and run JP Customs lock outs. I can not tell you how much I have spent on axle shafts even with Jake trying to help me out.

I also run the CKRC lockouts, and bent two axles, but only while running full droop suspension....As in no compression to absorb a nasty roll over. Agreed though, the design is a good prototype, but needs refinement. A 300 style axle would be great, although, I have never bent one with conventional sprung suspension. I have Fubars on both of my rigs, I beat the shit out of them, simple, very effective. I have not tried anything else so I am biased.
