Hello,

Beginning of more serious work on the rear axle.
In first, I drill the gear... It is much, very much easier than to drill the gears of Bully!! And now, I wait my CKRC 6MM BERG Rear lockouts kit.

Thus to have patience, and take time to work well on the rear axle...

I have… I made irrevocable… I made this thing...

I do not have yet electronics for my Bully, therefore while waiting… Hummm, I use the rear axle of my Bully!!

The best of the 2 worlds!! A Berg front axle, with much steering and not of problem of tire which rubs everywhere, and in the rear, a Bulle axle, rigid and narrow!!

Hello,

Thanks for your comments

I do not have a large machine of machining, therefore I use my old drill press.

With patience, the result is good.

Hello,

Some update.
Good, end of be delirious Berg/Bully, I received the missing parts for the rear axle.

Therefore, installation of the CKRC 6MM BERG Rear lockouts
Only bad surprise , the axes are in M5 is it is difficult to fix the VP wheels.

New servo, the precedent being really tired

and with final, the berg weighs 2.5gk (5.5lb) RTR. Either 300g (10.6onces) of less than with is beginning !!

To follow super 300 CVD's

Hello,

Some news, I finally received my Super 300 Berg CVD's for Axial knuckles, my invaluable

I have to change my RC Bro Knuckles for VP Axial High Steering Knuckles Zero Acker. (The Super 300 Berg CVD's for Berf knuckles was out of stock for a long time)

It was necessary a little to play with the files for to install all parts.

And finally all functions correctly

I have also to replace my old 45T by new Creep Type R/T 40 Turn Matched Pair. these motor are incredible, smooth, big torque, good speed and without noise Big thank you to EddieO for quality for its motor and the speed of delivery

Hello,

I redrew the frame, I seek a little the limits of materials (Delrin), the good compromise between solidity and lightness.

Starting plans.

After some cuttings and blows of file

First assembly as of the high part

Elements of the lower part

On the level of the design, I kept the principle of the vertical plates which exceed skid. The frame slips better into the direction longitudinal and hanging in the transverse direction. On the preceding version with the same principle, it there with any layout of wear on the skid, only the vertical plates are marked.

The final assembly, with the interior reinforcement. It limits the deformations

The frame weighs less 120g.

Assembly of Berg

I gained 10g…
But is more rigid than the old version and prettier too

Hello,

Last new...

New sterring, the preceding steering was bad, the servo over-heated.
Now, after 1h of craw, the servo is hardly hot, it is good sign

Other update, I made of a support of weight, to inspire by the various assemblies seen on this forum (like EGRESSor's knuckle weights)

In first, I made a support in delrin and a lead ballast.

Drilling of 2 small holes and tapping (M3) in the knuckle.

Each lead weighs approx. 80/90g.

And with the SLW

Now, with new lighter Lipo (MaxAmp 860mAh 3s), the crawler weighs 2.48kg RTR .
