Default My Berg projet

Hello,

After having finished my Bully, I now attack a new project starting from Berg axles

I based myself on the frame of my Bully, which goes rather well, by improving some points. The principal modification, is on the basis of frame which will be narrower.

In first, axles are clocked.

The lower part is made starting from aluminum of 5mm.

The superior part is in Delrin of 3mm.

For the moment the bonds are provisional

The shock will be of Traxxax (#TRA2660 Traxxas Big Bore Shocks Long 2) of 90mm, with Losi spring.

For the electronic set-up, nothing very original :
  • 2x motor 45T
  • 2x Tekin Fx-R
  • Lipo 3s
  • Radio stick
  • CC Bec

To follow

Hello,

Advance of my project, that progresses gently… For lack of materials

a Zero Ackerman High Steer Knuckle Rc Bro (a very nice part), in preparation for the installation of 300's CVD

The front links are finalized

With the back, the lower link will be redrawn, when I receive the plates of Delrin…

The remainder, the day when I will receive the parts which come to foot from the US...

Hello,

Some update
I received my sheet of Delrin , therefore realization of rear lower links and skid.
The skid will have to be corrected, because it hangs a little too much. Probably by twisting it a little, but I should change my lipo

The streering.

It functions very well with this axes (I have even too much steering angle). With 300 cvd, a servo arm a little longer will be needed…

Hello,

Today, manufacture of a support where all electronics is installed in .25 Delrin.
The support is also used as spacer to rigidify the frame and is fixed with 2 screws of each side.

I could weigh the rig, 2.650gk (5.84lbr) RTR (with body and Lipo).
For a first assembly, it is not too badly, remains the finalization of the adjustments.

And to wait to receive the good pinion, I have order gear… but not metric

I think of testing without body and of remaking the upper part (white) of the frame. It remains me of Delrin, I think of testing that.

Hello,

YES, first run today !!

The post-office employee had large box with 6 small gear
Immediate installation for quickly going to test it.

The proof in images, first stripes on the axles

I use 13 tooth Gear in front and rear. I independently control the ESC front and back without mixing. With 45T and 3S, it is a good compromise

The first impressions, waouuu, it is silencieux^^ compared to Bully
For a first run, they are good, very good!! I just lost a screw, badly tight because too in a hurry of going on the rocks

Some pics but still not body… I did not think that the post-office employee would be so fast !!

I just modified, as with front, the fixing of the upper links.

Coming soon :
  • CKRC 6MM BERG Rear lockouts.
  • and can be one day, of the 300 cvd's if it are available… one day!!
Thanks

Default New Bodiless

Hello,

I do not have a carro available, therefore manufacture of a bodiless frame

Remain the panels to be manufactured. It is 1cm less long and 7mm too low compared to the US standard.

First test on the rock... Hum, I love it

Thanks

I build it

Some update. Without surprise, after a fall, the back of the frame broke.

Foams being too soft, the tires came to hang on the fixing of the rear axle and has to tear the tires…

Thus one dismounts all and one corrects that!! I benefit from it to reduce certain parts.

The plates of each side of the skid exceeds a little. They are used as ski and the skid does not rub!!

The frame is also drill and I cut the back.

Reassembly of the frame

Now the weight RTR is down 2.7kg (5.95 lbrs). They remains still much of weight to gain, especially on the back axle.

I have 9 cm (3.54") under the front of the skid and +10 cm (4") with the rear.

For foams now I use the Crawler Innovations 5.5 foams

to follow !! thanks

Hello,

A small video of test of the crawler

The servo of steering is very tired and does not have any more power… The direction is vague, new servo should arrive, if the customs want to release it.

The hood of the Berg.

In memory with a old French car, the 2cv Citroen

The hood is to cut in plastic of a box of CD… Very solid, flexible and light… but translucent...

Thanks
