| The Nerd's Newer Rig
Just a sneak preview of the Al Fighter based rig. It will take a bit of work but it looks like I should be able to use a similar set up to what I was running. Full specs will come tomorrow. Kieren |

I followed your build before and will keep an eye on this one. I sure like those chassis's, and think the roll over side to side is a huge plus but I have always worried a bit about the weight and amount of material used. Is it heavy compared to a t1e or a bjv4?

Rig looks good buddy. What are these "cam locks" you speak of?

Thanks My new wheel design that requires only one bolt to lock and unlock. I need to make a set in the real world though to see if its going to work though. Kieren |

I'm a fan of internal single sided beadlocks, but there are so very few options for them. Last edited by TSK; 03-20-2012 at 02:21 AM.

Yep, fingers crossed my wild idea works. Internal beadlocks are nice for maximum knuckle weight, but they take just about as much time to assemble as a standard double sided beadlock anyway. Kieren |

3.4 oz seems fairly light for such a stout looking chassis. And those camer aangles make those axles look really narrow. Then again i've been working on AR60's last last few weeks |

It's not the camera, they are just really narrow. Especially the rear, I'm going to have to lathe up some 1" hubs, just to get it out to probably a 225 width on a standard berg. Kieren

Any updates? And is CrawlerX gonna produce those chassis? i checked the website and nothing even hinting at it. And those axles are too narrow for my taste. I'm getting heavy into the mindset of a wide axle, and a narrow wheel (or at least a deep negative backspaced wheel). Less scrub and tire rub. |

No updates sorry, but should be a few coming shortly if I get my act together I was under the impression they were, but I haven't talked to Blade in a little while so plans may have changed. The front is perfect for what I want, as it's within a couple mm of my old axles, and I really like that width. The rear however could be about an inch wider. As it stands I'll have to make some 1" hubs just to get it about the same as the 600's I was running before. Kieren |

Unfortunately at this time have other priorities than a new rig, so the axles are for sale to anyone who missed out on the first round. Upside is they are complete ready to use, no fuss in trying to track down berg gears Cheers Kieren |
