Really nice rig. I am also intersted in getting everything from one place. May I ask what the total cost was for that rig ?

4 years ago that would have been a one-off $4000 rig. Nuts what Erik has brought to within reach of the discerning consumer.

Props to the builder and the maker.

floki81 was almost correct with the price. his estimate of $1,700.00 would almost cover the dlux part of the rig but you still have to add tires, esc's, motors, steering servo, bec, & battery.

i couldent say it better. erik@dlux, in my opinion has changed the rules to the game. his parts just kick a$$ and take names. now days there is no sense in trying to mod a stock berg axle. for less money and less stress you could have his cases, tubes, etc which imo perform way better than a modded stock axle could dream of. and im not just saying this because i have a dlux rig. i have quite a few bergs, but they all end up with dlux stuff on them eventually.

thanks alot, ive spent ton of time trying to get my rigs the way i like them, its means alot to me when people notice. i took a looong unexpected break from r.c. (almost 10 yrs) i just got back into it over the winter. when i did my searching on the net i really liked the dlux line. after doing alot of reading here on rc crawler i learned that erik also has a very good understanding of physics and geometry, and most of the things i think up he has already typed on a forum somewhere or tried.
on top of that i really didnt know much about bergs when i started, so i had to ask him a TON of questions and hes been extremely helpful.

I am also new to berg,,have only had axial before this winter myself,
and I have asked alot off stupid questions in almost all the berg build treads..
but to ask and to build self is the only way to learn, and is not that what this forum is here for??
Or is it just to show off???
I have learned plenty about my xr10 here on rcc also,,
and alot off crawlers I never will build most likely,

well to be honest i think think this forum is here for alot of reasons. for me, the main reason i joined was to try to help people that need it. back in the day when i got my scorpion i got alot of help from this site so i wanted to try and give something back to it. since then ive given and gotten answers for every one i own. ive also recently and for the 1st time in my life been able to meet a great group of crawlers and participate in a comp. none of this would of been possible for me without rc crawler... and i would be lieing if i said i didnt want to show off a little

Nice build. The only problem I have found with Erik's stuff is that you never have any reason to work on your comp crawler anymore ...

Until he invents something new you can't live without

Haha!

Truer words have never been spoken. Well, sometimes if your really board you can check to make sure all the screws are tight?

Just got around to putting in some rcbros gears today. I knew that they were lighter but i never would of guessed they were 13.16 grams lighter per axle than the rc4wd lightened gear set. And thats just gears no lockers.

rcbros gears and lockers are definitely the best i have seen for bergs. only down side for me was that my rc4wd gears had the big pin mod done on them.
i am being told that with the lighter weight of these newer rigs not many people break the stock pins though. maybe someone who knows could chime in and let me know if i should be getting these milled for the big pins?

Yeah,, I would,,
I compared a big pin vs a regular pin,, and the regular one is extremly small,
and when gears on the berg break it is in the aera around the pin on the smaller gears,, after what I have read...
I would for sure get the big pin if I was you...
Better safe than sorry..
And with as strong gears as these rcbros gears you will need a big pin mod done..
To bad rcbros dont make the small 2`d and 3`d gear...

The big pin mod is really only needed for super bergs.

While it's good to have the extra strength it's not at all needed for 2.2.
I was looking at building a super berg and put my 8in tires on a set of normal berg axles. Just driving around and up
A small step I snapped the pin.

Running 2.2 for over 3yrs on the same set of gears with the standard size pin I have yet to have any issues at all.

I'm still running 6yr old stock Berg pins. Thrown plenty of big Brood and Holmes motors at them. Also used in 6+ lb trucks before the light weight wars hit.
