only one .. the thing is it took 90 min for a long 35 min for a short:oops: but we got it done:mrgreen: 21 0z of metal out of the gears in the rear:mrgreen:

billj 10-06-2010 05:20 AM

21 oz? is that a typo? Thats sounds like a ton of weight:shock:

kennyj 10-06-2010 05:25 AM

There is no way you took out 21 oz. in the gears.:lmao: The whole rear axle doesn't weigh that much. 21 grams, maybe, but I didn't lose that much when drilling my gears.

Not knocking it there are tones of people that cut there gears like that just don't think it's worth what you loose in weight when you can take it off something else that's all. One big jump or fall and you might tear up a gear or 2, that's the way I look at it.

richardgarrett56 10-06-2010 07:38 AM

there is less meat on the teeth, the teeth is the only thing that will give, i take the weight off the gears install revo end links steel front links that weigh 25 grams each
