DickyT, sorry that you broke your axle mount again, that stinks. Other than that incident, great driving by all. I know I had a great time there. Courses were sick, I wish I had gotten a little further on course 3. Next time I think someone knows to check yr rig the night before!(I think thats what his dad said)

For my case that would not have mattered, for your case that would not have mattered, and after they got home and dissected it, for Tyler's case it would not have mattered.

The tranny output side dog inside his dig came loose.... not the general once over the truck kinda thing you would notice, there be some surgery involved to get there..... *cough*dig springs*cough*

They don't slide worth a damn, and the damn axial pumpkin is bad enough in plastic. I have considered it. This rig is now a short term solution though. I'll be ordering an XR10 in October... some trip in September is preventing my preorder...

With that arrangement you have created a very long lever for the link to pry itself loose from the axle.

I've driven it that way all season, the first one I chalked up to an abused and worn part, the second on I will put on my fault for trying to push through a bind I should have found a finesse way around.

Any other configuration and I lose steering, but I am certainly open to recommendations. I will only be running this through Nat's though. I will be building an XR10 for next season

Move the shock in & mount the link were the shock was/is or mount the LWR link on the side of the shock were the spacer is at & recheck the wheel base. You will most likely find the truck will handle better with the link there.
Or limit the shocks so the front can't twist up as much.

I'll give that a try, thanks Donnie! The shocks are already limited as much as I am willing. I am already limited to less that one wheels height of articulation.

Swapping the link and shock location on the axle should work though, I think I have enough clearance on the upper links to pull it off.

Most of all when I get the rig so bound up I need to stop trying to just power through. That is my mind telling me the clock is running. the finesse way out of a bind is often faster, now I just need to remember that while under the gun!

I remeber when I had my shafty had lke 6 diffrent link, shock, spacer set-up's. I think I ran mine the way Donnie said to swap it too. I always had it set up with the shock towards the outside and the link were you have it now.
