Better to have it and not need it...then to need it and not have it |

Sometimes you need that little bump or hop to get over the top of a rock , if the rock is slippery wheel speed can help get you up there.

Yeah wheel speed is that thing where ya just never know when you might need it. I do have wheel speed but one of the reasons for my breaking issues is because I have a ton of wheel speed in a rig that with batteries weighs over 10 pounds. Somethings just gotta give at that point. Anyways, that Cherokee rig has been torn down completely to rebuild for the next G6 Comp. Mud is why I have it, I'm running an 18.5t on 3s in my rig. It also helps in sand, loose dirt, hill climbs, almost anywhere really. As long as you still have the low end control and torque for the rocks more wheel speed is almost always better. It's also why people run the 2 speed summit tranny, first gear for less speed and more torque for crawling, and second gear for more speed for pretty much everything else.

Summit tranny is un-needed really.........alot of unnecesssary weight. I have great low end control, torque, and ridiculous speed ........... enough to drift the Heep around the dirt oval in Ocala. |
