Hey, I was windering if anybody that lives in the Deltona/Orange City area (or Orlando and surrounding areas) that want to get together and find a place to do some rock crawling. I currently own a new Scx10 JK Jeep Rubicon and an AX10 Chevy C10. My name is Mike and my wife and kids and I just koved to Deltona and don't reall know anybody yet. Let me know. We can get a bunch of people together and have a bar-b-que and stuff. Could be fun!

i live in deland, not far from you at all, i would recommend going to the new red events in ocala. a bit of a drive, prob just over an hour for you, a few of us local guys go and it is always worth the trip. also there is a nice crawl spot under the 1792 sanford bridge ( go through debary, over the bridge entering sanford).

if i hear of anything going on locally ill be sure to post it.

Wraith kit, scx10, and custom mrc scaler.

Yes as a new guy I would say newred events is the best way to jump in with both feet but also go over to this thread these guys also run about every weekend and also come to the newred events....CFLCC Meet Thread - *ONGOING*

I was at the Sanford bridge site today, just checking it out. Here's a photo. Plenty of rocks, a nice dirt track area and lots of shade.

I'll make it out to Ocala some day too.

I know there's a good spot in Sanford off of SR46. Its on the north side almost to 17-92 if your coming from I4. Its a big trench of rocks with some open feilds too.

Yea we all use to go out to the sanford bridge but the city started frowning on it for a couple of different reasons so now we all go out to the 419 bike trails aka soldier creek park every sunday.

NewRed's is once a month just for that reason of being able to plan for it..


This month the two BIG events are NewRed's and Axial/Parker G6

that's the crappy part of running on county and city and privet property's it all come's to am end sooner or later....

ya I have been told to leave areas before it sucks but you pack up and move on and find a new spot...

That area technically isnt public nor private.. kinda a grey area honestly but soldier creek bikes have the right-away really is the only rule and nobody has given us problems. Most of them stop and drool over our stuff and conversate with us.
Im with yoda, being told to leave sucks and pretty much ruins the day.

Yea I actually was stopped when I was by this trail that runs by telephone towers in deltona off of saxon and Normandy. I was asked to leave and I was about to then the guy called the cops and said he was going to prosecute. The kicker is I waited for the cops just to see if he really could prosecute, and the guy didn't even work for the city. Ha he just lived in one of the houses nearby!! The cop thought it was a joke. He even let me stay! !

I don't wait cant stand cops and the BS that come with them and your right most of the time this kind of stuff would happen but it's not worth the problems to run just leave and find another spot..
