Knowing your wicked builds I got my money on you Hunter711!! Too bad down here in Houston there's no terrain for FOFF otherwise I'd be all over it! A good suggestion for the "Best BAD ASS FOFF build in 2012" could be setting a budget on parts/electronics/chassis/etc.

With a budget constraint it makes things more challenging and pushes people to have more creative in custom fabbing their own parts. We all know FOFF rigs need to be built tough and bulletproof, yet at the same time they need to have enough power to be a potent contender. I say we set a budget (and for those of yall with electronics/parts ready to be converted to FOFF they must be docked as if you purchased them new). This will keep it fair for everyone in the contest.

I wish there could be a way to judge performance/tuning/driver skill for this contest....but I think that will be pretty much impossible. So style, functionality, equipment load out, weight bias, maybe even scale points can be judged?

I'm just being an arse. I don't believe I have a rig under a grand (except mini revo). I'm in. Cost should not be factor in judging.

but ill just say this..

$175 rtr to my door...
added $16 cut and shut sand paws
add camaro lid $42
not here yet but lookin at $150 brushless

so $175 + $16 + $150 = $341... we will say $375 done... well below $700.00, $1000.00 & unlimited.

I don't think this is a build off or a suggestion for a build contest. This is your chance to vote on the rig you think is the best FOFF build (built) in 2012 (hence the title). Seeing as 2012 will be ending in...35 days you don't have much build time left.

Nicely worded. If we are going to have a contest on the "Best foff rig built" in this calender year then anything goes, at least for now.

If everyone is in agreement of this challange let the voters have the final word.

I also think that videos should be allowed. So when we start submitting our rigs for the contest then any and all pics and videos should be allowed.

How about video as proof it runs? I've been a bit slack recently on my new foff so it might give an boost to get it going.
