Sounds cool, I looked at your build but can't really tel from the pics posted. Can you post up or send me some more detailed pics of how it sits under its own weight and fully uncompressed and compressed?

I run in full droop or flex shock locations. Bought all I notice is ride height.

I'll post full droop later

Thanx for the pics evan, I just watched your vid you posted after you redid the shocks, and I see that your shocks is at full droop riding std, witch make it very hard to absorb any shock or bumps while driving.
I will take some more pics of my setup tomorow and post them up for you.
My shocks is running semi droop but stil got allot of travel to absorb any bumps in the track and landing jumps.
On that vid of yours, I noticed than when your rig land after the jumps over the logs, it is basically solid and not absorbing the landing, and it will make you roll over allot. The roll over situation was irritating me that is why I started with the suspension mods. Mine is very nice and soft now, almost crawler like, but only less flex in the rear, just clean up and down travel.

Hope all this makes sens.....?

P.s on a side note, I also noticed in the vid your drag brake is still active, if you run foff, DEACTIVATE Imidiately! Unless you like endo's and front flips in mid air....lol learned the hard way

Not sure what you mean by full droop.

Running drag brake because sand is always out. We've got a 400ft tall dune here.

My shocks are mid stroke at ride height so still have compression and rebound control. With the shocks leaned to the center there less responsive sine there now moving in mor of a arc motion instead more inline with the tires movement. In the ice on the counter there standing in the closer position. Taller ride height and more droop but I really don't know the lingo when people say droop position

Did you see it jumping in the dirt. This thing handles speeds very well and I thought was landing decent. I can't remember log jumping so I'll have to rewatch it. I did have a few diftent bids tuning the

Tossed the stock shocks on to do a few rides. They feel pretty good a little bouncy compared to the buggy shocks. Ride height with them is better then I thought

Okay guy's back to the original question...
Who is all is running 550 brushless setups, or what 540 do you run successfully with good temps?

Okay going to go out and test a little more.
I got a question, I got a new 87t spur and a 16t pinion, must I slap them on and put the 7700kv motor back?
Or keep the 4600kv in and up the cells?

Okay took it out again today to go try the 4700 motor on 3cell, Damm, that woke it right up.
Only used one of my small 1300mah packs from my crawler so only lasted 5min but for those 5min it was super wild.
I will now do the mod on the rig to take the bigger 3cell packs to convert over to 3cell.
I will also now have to do the upgraded hardend steel tranny gears and diff gears.

Anyway, some pics for you all...

I don't know exact gradiant, have been wanting to measure it for some time now, but I can tell you this much, you won't walk or crawl it up....

Hallo there guys, I asked a few question on an earlier thread about FOFF. Me and Charel are both in South Africa and both run Wraith FOFFS, mine will be getting shape soon, want to get a heatsink and reinstall the interior and still need to get shock mounts cut for the rear shocks. Ill have to go run longer too see how the motor heat acts. I have a Castle Creations 3.5turn motor in. Will post pics when I'm done.

Looking good Charel, thanks for the thread I got some nice info off it.

Great to see you back here Wagenmeister...
Also glad to see your wraith is back up and running.
Please let us know how the temps hold up as that is my biggest problem at the moment. I'm sure we are not going to get it sorted with these 540 motors and think the 550's will suit our application better....

Thanx for the info Roland, that's what I was leaning towards as well. Shouldn't I aim for a lower Kv motor than that, or will 4600 and up work?

Thanx

Awesom rig. Sweet photos.

I thought the diff gears were metal in the kit. But the carrier is plastic.

I'm looking forward to checking out your vid. And man that looks like an awesome place to play.
