I don't think anyone has yet. From what I've read they are not as tough as expected. It would be interesting to see a build, butmaybe aftermarket companies need to start producing tougher parts.

Be aware that the steering set up won't take alot of abuse.

Well his pics convinced me. Ordered a twin hammers, paddles, all the aluminum upgrades, front locker, F and R sway bars, hitec 645mg shift servo, Hitec 7954 with a bec for steering. I want to put an SV3 with a 4600kv in it but I can't find one in stock so I'll have to wait. In the mean time I have a spare traxxas VXL setup I could try. I see there are some vanquish kits to run different axles I'll look into that.

You may want to pick up a set of HR steel gears for the trans as well as a Losi 3907 51t 32p spur for it.

If I remember right I got mine from Hobby etc. That Losi spur is a direct fit as well, reuse your stock slipper and all. The cover even fits. Smallest 32p pinion you can run is 14T.

I found an SV3 4600kv combo on eBay so I should have everything in a couple weeks. The only thing I need now is rims. I ordered sand paws and panther paddles. Any recommendations on what rims to run ? I'd like to get as much offset out of the rim as possible.

Check into Prolines beadlock wheels for a Traxxas Slash. I had them on Speed.Demon for over a year with out a single striped hex.

Will panthers and sand paws fit on the proline rims ? From the pic it looks like there traxxas short course style so I would need to order the proline slingshots I think.

Ordered the vaterra made locker, the aftermarket locker, 300k and 500k diff fluid so I'll try them all. I also ordered the Traxxas 1/16 cantilevers in both regular and long travel, the blue monkey stage 2 kit, the Losi gear and spare front and rear axles plus a spare drive shaft (I got the MIP one on preorder) This is fast approaching my most expensive build yet and I don't even have the Twin hammers yet LoL. I hope I like Formula Offroad or there's going to be a smoking deal on an upgraded Twin Hammers in a couple weeks.

They should fit, they're the same size as the sand paws. Right?
