Default FOFF Mad Max build

My goal is to get something that looks like it came out of a Mad Max movie. Got my first parts order to start the build today.

Wider aluminum hexes for the rear axle, 40w oil and silver 3.5 rate Losi springs on the stock shocks. Rear suspension is really soft stock. Hope I get the MIP drive shaft I can tell the stock one is crap.

Put all the aluminum steering and shock mount in. Made my own steering linkage the ball and socket set up is really sloppy. The stock front springs are super stiff put some Losi reds in but I think they'll end up too soft. Changed the oil weight to 40w. Put a plasti dipped Hitec 7954 in too. Not really going for waterproof but since the motor, esc and receiver already are might as well go all the way.

ESC is being a pain. I have to turn it in and off 4 or 5 times to get it work. I'll hook the castle link up tonight and hopefully figure out what's wrong. Test ran it wheels off on the stand the brass spur I'm using is annoyingly loud .

Just took it for a test run. It's backs flips onto its roof constantly. I dont know if that's a good or bad thing.

Castle SV3
Castle 4600kv motor
Hitec 7954 water proofed
Blue monkey rear links
Aluminum wheel hexes
Modified Junfac rear drive shaft (Hurry up MiP)
Custom steering setup
Hitec shift servo with custom linkage
Metal geared trans
Ceramic bearings in the axles
500k diff oil up front (didn't like how the locker affected high speed handling)
Panther paddles rear sandpaws up front on axial beads locks glued and beadlock to keep them on the rims, taped the insides to stop ballooning
Upsized the wheel hex pins
Cut the spare tire and cage off the rear, the aluminum panels are just to give it some rigidity
Replaced just about every screw on it (stock hardware strips easy)
Losi silvers springs rear, green up front, kept the stock shocks they don't leak and seem to work fine
MERV long travel rockers

Still need to do something with the front axles and build some body panels.

Pretty happy with it so far. Got the MIP rear driveshaft in it so eliminated that problem.

Not really happy with the panther paddles in the rear. They won't stay in the beadlock and the paddles are too soft for my liking a couple are already torn. Going to order some more sandpaws tonight.

Just a tip if you're doing gravel and dirt...Proline Dirt-Paws are pretty awesome in gravel/grass/dirt, and the hard rubber wears ok too.

Really liking the look of that last pic ;)
