Some more parts came in today... spent way too much time jerking around with what was to go where! Decided that I would add a few scale parts to dress her up a bit... |

| Re: HRDROKN's R1 build... Mounted up some comp tires and weighted them up today... took her out in the backyard on some familiar rocks and I'm a little disappointed! My boys Creeper with Rovers and single stage foams (no weight) and running my chassis plates crawled better right off the work bench! Soooooo.... I have some tuning to do! |

After playing around on some rocks... I'm going to work on adding some wheelbase. All the articulation is limited by the shocks, so adding the wheelbase and laying the shocks down a bit will help. Curious to see if this adds any more TT to the chassis. |

Added about 10mm to the lower links and relocated the uppers temporarily.... still within the 12.5" wheelbase spec and more articulation! Couldn't get her on a 16oz can before... Oh... notice the drive shaft... lol. I had to order a 107-142mm shaft! Last edited by HRDROKN; 06-19-2012 at 05:12 PM. |

Was just checkin out the Mayhem Monster 2.2 wheels! I have a set of black on black on order in shallow offset that should match up well with the Raceline's on my 1:1 build.... Last edited by HRDROKN; 06-20-2012 at 11:46 PM. |

OK... got my battery location finalized. The CKRC 1300mah 2S are about 75g, which offsets the Airtronics 94780 nicely! |

| Re: HRDROKN's R1 build... Was going to work on the shocks this weekend as I also noticed they were stifling articulation. Did laying them down some help? Or is all that gain from linger lowers?

| Re: HRDROKN's R1 build... The longer lowers helped with laying the rears down some more, but that is really the key... to get more travel you have to fit for longer shocks or get them layed down. My shocks are still my limit for wheel travel.

Still crawling the crap out of this one... no bearing failures to date! I love the axle clearance and overall she does well against other rigs I've crawled with. I'm thinking that I will swap over to an Axial trans... smaller and more compact. |

UPDATE: And she still my favorite crawler! Great clearance on the rocks and has proven to be quite capable... Bearings and portals have held up well @ 7.4 volts. |
