Looks like they add some weight to the wheels.
Also maybe some better foams in the tyres, I found that those tyres bounce a lot on my Komodo.

Also wondering, since the GOM was found unworthy of getting its own sub forum, then it will probably be the same for the BOM.

Wondering if the reason are these strange names as the sawback do have its own sub forum just fine, then again the komodo dont.

Nah, It's just that the GOM didn't have that many owners that posted. It's a shame, because the GOM actually does perform pretty well, and just needs some aftermarket to really make it take off.

The more I look at it the more I think it’s going to be a beast of a truck with the right build

Agreed. I'm a fan of the GOM even though it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I think this BOM could really be popular. The price seems fair and I don't see much to dislike in the design. We need more trucks like this in the market.

I’m a fan of the GOM too although I’m selling mine to pay for the BOM lol

Looking forward to seeing what bodies will fit the BOM and how easy it will be to mount them.

That’s one I didn’t think of lol that would be nice.

I hope that having a full interior will be possible, I like to keep things scale if possible.

that thing looks really solid. I like how it stays planted, unlike the trx4 videos which always showed it lifting up 1 wheel all the time, like a dog taking a piss.

it articulates well, has a nice lip on the front slider plates which should help keep mud out after you get some inner fenders.

I think the rotated axle looks really really weird, not a fan of that, but if it works....

The rotated diff section is straight from 1:1

The idea behind it in 1:1 is instead of bashing you diff cover on rocks and a need to protect the area. rotate it out of harms way as the diff housing is a lot thicker and better protected.

I've never noticed a 1:1 diff being like that. I just googled formula off-road vehicles and such, none had that. I'm not saying you're wrong, it's just nothing I've ever seen or noticed

There ya go. You're very right that it's not common. I don't know of any factory axles that have anything close to this design. I've only seen it on aftermarket housings where they were designing the housing from scratch strictly for hardcore off-road use.

I can't wait for this thing. I'm already collecting parts for this build. I think I'm going to stick with brushed power like most of my trail rigs run, and I'm planning on a Pro-Line Hilux cab.

Thanks Frank, truck crawls very well! Skidplate looks like TRX-4, separate chromed plastic grill with cut outs opened up, LED buckets, rear inboard cantilever suspension (easy to install full drop bed), front CVAs, hinged body at rear bed, metal diff covers, TRX4 like scale shocks, dang nice!!! Just need to get link mounts molded into the axle housings and rear lockouts shortened up and minimized to caps like Ascender and wow!

Forgot to mention the metal spools that key into the metal ring gears in the axles.
