So... I had been working on this truck for months in my spare time, and finally got it all together. I ran it around the yard a couple times, and everything seemed smooth. Then I took it to my local rock garden, and after about three or four minutes of run time, it's clicking badly in the output to the front. I bought the kit back in june, so it should be the updated case, but I don't know the difference. Can someone tell me how to know for sure, and if it is the updated trans case, is there a fix for it? Thanks. |

Which truck are you having problems with? It's doesn't say... of its a GOM I might be able to help, I don't have any other Gmade trucks though. |

I have a couple of Gmade rigs and the one included the updated case in the box and the other one didn’t. I emailed Gmade and they sent me the new parts for free in about a week. Haven’t had any misfortunes with gears breaking but I’m well aware of the possibility so I didn’t go overkill on the motors. Now that the Gmade rigs are gaining popularity it would be nice to see SSD or Robinson make steel gears for these. I did email SSD about the possibility and of course never heard back, but maybe if others put the bug in their ears, who knows?

Well... it was totally my fault. I tore it apart last weekend and I had left the inner bearing out on the output shaft. It' kinda weird, because I don't remember any left over parts. Anyway, I had one in my tool box that fit it, and it works fine now. No more click. | |
