I like how the bit of grill trimming makes a big visual difference in the front.

I remembered doing a high steer mod on my Gmade R1 and wondered if it would work for the Sawback...guess what, it did!

I used some GPM DF03 knuckles bought from Asiatees

The GPM knuckes are 1mm over size (screw to screw) to fit in the chubs so a little filing is in order

All the stock Sawback hardware seems to fits no problem

All fitted

Perfect, I bet those are the ones I used....used to have a r-1. and like you said, a little filling and they fit fine. Good find

Sorry for the late reply

The paint I use is from a store called Halfords in the U.K, they do a range of camo paint colours. The one I used is item no.252044

Your rig looks good along with that CMS mod I was going to say that you can change the color of them knuckles fairly easy if you wanted a more scale look

My knuckles were only $9 from Asiatees but I only had a choice of green or orange lol. I know I could strip them or paint them but to be honest they don't stand out that much with the body on

Are these truly high steer knuckles? Thanks

EDIT: reason I'm asking is the ones I got from junfac aren't high steer just so everyone knows.

I myself would class it as a high steer knuckle

Thanks for the nice comments

Been trying to squeeze in a bit of time to get more done over the Christmas holidays, managed to fab up a few bits and pieces.

First off was the seats....I needed to get the driver a little lower so I used 4mm foamex board and tried the fabric covered approach.....

Too much work and I couldn't get a nice finish, so went for a nice simple solution....spray painted the foamex plastic then glued green cord around the outside. Simple, quick and they weigh next to nothing.

Next up was a little bit of cunning filing and bending.........

Can you tell what it is yet!?

Also added a companion and various bits of junk

I think I need a good camera, the colour difference of the body outside is nuts
