Axial 27t motor on the AE-2 esc, Futaba 3pl radio using 4200mah 2s, changed pinion to a Traxxas 12t to eliminate noise in gear box just like above.

Sidewinder V3, cheap atomik 35t, 1300mah 3s, stock gearing. I get about 1hr run time per battery, but I'm mainly crawling around real slow.

I am toying with the idea of putting a Sidewinder 3 + 1406 series 4600kv brushless combo in my SB... Anybody tried brushless on their SBs? Too much?

| Re: What are you guys powering your Sawbacks with? You can put in whatever fits, but that's way too much IMO. This truck doesn't need a brushless system, even a 55t tamiya silver can with an old nimh pack would be enough. It's a scaler

Yeah all that power is just going to twist the leafs. I run a 27t arm pulled out of an old 24deg stock motor dropped into an old mod can on 2s. |
