New Sawback - What Motor? 30 vs 55

My Wonderful Wife bought me a Sawback Kit for my B-Day! She even got me some goodies to go along with it!

Sawback Kit
Team KNK Hardware
Rock Guards (plastic junfac)
Brass Tubes x4
and Anti-Warp Kit (junfac)

I ordered
AE-5 ESC
Metal Spacers for the Leaf Spring kit
and The Aluminum Roller Skids (junfac)

Had on hand already
Solar D772
extra Receiver for my 4PL

I've got an e-mail in to see about ordering the Crawlster Kit.

My issue.... She is also going to buy me a motor. I was going to try to keep this at a decent price.

Holmes Hobbies has a sale right now, 30t TorqueMaster Sport or 55t TorqueMaster Sport for $25.00. I run the 30t in my Ascender, its powerful even on 2s, and I think it may be to much for the Sawback. I wanted to stay in the 40 range, but I am thinking the 55t may be just fine.

What do you think? Also, do you know what servo horn I may want to pick up?

I run 35t in my Sawback. On 2S

I am running a 35T Torque Master expert in my Sawback and it works well on both 2S and 3S.

Instead of going with a 55T, I would spend a few more dollars and get the 35T torque master sport.

I may just do that. $9.99 more but probably worth it.

Went with the 35T TorqueMaster Sport!. Also, grabbed a 24t Axial servo arm, small one clamp style.

Hopefully all of these things start rolling in quickly!

Good choice of motor, should be very nice on 2S and even more fun on 3S.
