Default Sawback on the way...

Just added a Sawback to the collection to supplement the Komodo and SCX. Couldn't pass up the $209 ARTR deal on RCmart. Wanted one of these for a long time.

These SawbackS are a lot of fun man.

I was a bit skeptical at first bc I'm usually a axial guy but it turned out the sawback is great and don't regret buying it over another scx10 at all

yea i feel the same way.i've done the axial thing years back, but i have a tendency to try different things, not always the most popular, but i really enjoy my sawback.i'm into trail running not rocks, and the scale looks and performance is perfect for me.reminds me of my old bruiser days.

I like to have different types of crawlers. Komodo, scx10 and Wraith are all different. Sawback will add to this.

Whoa 209$, I guess I'm getting a second sawback to do a rc4wd blazer body sooner than I thought. And have fun, I love my sawback, I turned mine into a hilux.

So the Sawback arrived and the box didn't even seem damaged. Great deal for the $209 I paid.

Now for what has me a bit PO'd... Gmade sells these ARTRs for a premium over the kit for assembly and painted body. Problem I have is they didn't finish painting it! Body looked fine at first but then I noticed the paint was a bit light and I wanted it a bit darker. So I got out the black to back it with and what do you know there are vast sections with little to no paint that now show up black. Even if I would have used red colors would have been off. All my Axial RTRs came fully painted and backed. Also why do they have to paint the headlights? I know cost cutting..

Now I will paint the outside to make the body livable until I get another. For those debating on the kit or ARTR, get the kit unless you find a super cheap deal. Disappointing to have such a scale body done so poorly.
