| The Give Away Crawler
Braceysdad contacted me about giving away this crawler to help support our site. I was blown away by this gesture. He told me he wanted to do this because RCCrawler had helped bring his family together, and it gives him a place to get away. Often times when I'm working behind the scenes to make the site stay a float I'll log on and all I see is people complaining, and it makes me wonder why I even bother. Every now and then I will get an email from someone saying how the site has helped them, and it feels good to be a part of it. When Braceysdad did this it was the ultimate, although some people don't relise it this site means a lot to a lot of people, and many of us work hard behind the scenes to make it happen. Along with work it also takes money to keep a site of the size running. We have serveral ways to bring money into the site. We have the star program, which many of you have participated in, and we are also going to try to hold one or two of these drawings per year. Ron had visited this site and using info he found here he started building this crawler. He loved coming to the site to check out what the newest trends were. He even joked several times that he "wanted to meet that Digler guy" why, I have no idea. Ron passed away at the beginning of April and was not able to finish this crawler. I am told that he would not like this thing to sit on the shelf, so we are going to give it away to someone that will use it like it is meant to be used! I would personally like to say Thank You very much to Braceysdad, and his family. This raffle is being held in Ron's memory 12/03/84-04/09/05 Now onto the crawler! RIP Ron and thanks to Bracysdad and all those who are contributing to this give away. I think this is a really cool thing to do. This is the best RC site out there as far as I am concerned also. Thanks again to all and great work Jason, I appreciate it. Now if only one of the 14 tickets I bought is the one. 8-)

I never got to intraweb meet Ron but I am sad to hear of his passing. His project is a work of art so it is a shame he could not wheel it :-( Is there a way to buy a ticket besides paypal? I refuse to let myself have a paypal account but if his family donated it than the least I can do is buy a ticket. |

I will have to say the crawler looks awesome. I wish Ron's family well. I would also like to mention that this is the first forum that I have enjoyed every aspect of. I have never donated to a site before, but I don't have any hesitation to do so here. All of the people that I have met on the board have been great. I have been into RC for 24+ years and this facet of RC is the greatest. I think in part to the community. Yeah so we flame a few people, bottom line is we are here to protect the integrity of the site. Bottom line....Keep up the great work Jason and everyone attached to the site including the mods. I will be buying my ****load of tickets without the intent of winning, but if I win the crawler I will display it proudly. Crawl on! |

I too am new here to this site. I was truly amazed at the level of generousity (sp?lol) of all of the vendor's and of course braceysdad. I couldnt even imagine what you folks are going through losing a family member at such a young age. And to top it off donate such a great looking rig to a website for someone else to enjoy. I realy hope who ever wins this rig will realy take care of it!! If one of my tickets win I know I would. Oh and to all who are behind the scenes here at rccrawler....thank you for providing such a great website. RIP Ron,god bless

When Jason called me to tell me about his call with Braceysdad, all I could say was "wow" and "that's crazy". It is amazing that RCCrawler and this crawling community makes such an impact on peoples lives. I only wish Ron was still here to enjoy it with us and woop our butts with that awsome tuber. Thanks again braceysdad for being such a distinguished member of the RCCrawler community! Also I wanted to say thanks to all the vendors for the killer prizes donated! The amount of support RCCrawler gets from our vendors is amazing and without it this site would not be the #1 RC Crawling site! Check out the amount of vendors that donated to this raffle! 13 vendors with a total of 24 prizes as of this morning! |
