| Broke a shock..help!
Was trying to climb the steps in our house last night, doing nothing out of the normal. Then the right rear shock broke! Right at the base of the shock, where the metal shaft is secured into the plastic cup. I've tried to put modelers glue on it and let it sit until dry,it didn't hold. Tried 3M masking tape, held better than glue but ripped with any pressure applied. I've got it tore apart right now, painting the body and things like that but I don't know of any other way to fix this thing! Any ideas? I don't have any other "parts trucks" either |

Here is where it broke to give you a better idea. I can't really drill and tap it to get it to stay because the rod doesn't go far enough down into the plastic piece. |

Care to inform me about Savage shocks? This is my first R/C vechile, its a total blast tinkering on them. I used to build model cars but that got old cause I finished them and put them up. I might get into playing with the R/Cs cause you get to actually wheel them Help a brother learn the ropes! |

I think this is what he is talking about but i haven't checked shock dimensions to confirm. Not sure how hard they would be to mount up either. couldn't be to bad. Of course you need to find someone who wants a set too since they only come in a set of 8. $65 for 8 shocks is a sweet deal. Split that with someone and your at 32.50. I'd go halves with someone. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXDVL1&P=ML |
