Seems a while since the last time some-one posted here. Guess I'll give it a kick. I'm new to the crawler scene and not that wealthy that I can afford one of the top class crawlers. So I bought me an HSP Rock Crawler on E-bay from UK for half the money that I would've paid in Holland. I took some snapshots of it to give others an idea of how it looks. One with our dog, to give an idea of the size (excuse the unpainted fence in the background; it was just put up and I needed a break). With a lot of flex; And a couple of detail shots; The one thing I find irritating is that the battery sits loose on a flat part underneath. It can move front to rear. I'm going to think of a way to make it firm there, either with a riptie of something else. For now I'm having fun with it, trying to find out what it's limits are and the possibilities. And so what if it's a rip-off! Not all of us can afford an expensive crawler. It's a nice go between my Traxxas Slash and my Traxxas E-Maxx. Probie |

The MOA truck looks like it's the same as the Integy Super that came out last year.

We have 2 of these 1/8th trucks in our little crawling group. Both have had their share of problems along with the 1/10th trucks. The tires on these trucks are rock hard and need to have the foams cut from the start, The servo has gone in one and the esc has gone in the other at times, Both have been changed to roosters, servo's have been upgraded to 10 kg models. ( 4 wheel steer helps these trucks hugely BTW). here is a small and rushed video of all the trucks trying out some stuff http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUYuOGazsYw cheers Grant |

The speed control on these and the Nanda Pathfinder are a cheap version of the one sold by RC4WD. It's the "Outcry ESC". These crawlers has fun factor written all over them. For the money it's worth it. As said, get new tyres with decent foams and the car will change into a monster. |

Probie.... You got the long wheel base model its 60CM longer than the standard 1/8! I have a green 1/8 standard and had no problems at all with it! Love it and done the 4 wheel steer mod, thats helps alot! Radio is naff, so i fitted a 2.4GHz 4CH radio! yes its a cheap model but runs well and I love it. tyres are not so good though, and every single fixing seems to be fine thread as if going it to metal if it is screwing into metal or plastic! So beadlock threads will strip easy if ur not careful! |
