Default new crawler using LST axles

Hi There, I have purchased a pair of LST axles and diffs etc. I was hoping to build 2 custom gearboxes and use 1 lathe motor on each axle like a custom clod set up. I need help selecting an overall drive ratio suitable for crawling, any ideas where I can get gears/gearboxes from? i hope to mount the motor over the axle for maximum ramp over, any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
