Question x-trail shocks

ok will the ax10 rtr shock run off of air.. like take off the sring and dump the oil and put those springs in with out the oil?

Sure you can, but it's not going to work as good as a shock with oil. The shock oil is for dampening movements, thicker viscosity slows is down even more, thinner makes them react faster (as does the holes in the shock piston). What you could try is putting a stronger spring above the piston and a weaker one under it.

yes and no.
that would be running the shock basically in " droop configuration " .

it would be best to get the internal springs and run them inside the shocks.
pen springs work well too.

you would want the springs in there to help pull the shock closed.
(or push open, however you prefer)

did you buy the hardware kit with your xtrail ?

TCS Xtrail Hardware Kit <----- if you got that those springs go inside the shock.

so go ahead and get a small cup or something to pour it all into.
chances are that there isnt going to be much in there to begin with, as ax10 shocks are known to be leaky.
