Default Radio for MOA...

I've been hearing a lot of people lately saying that a stick radio is way more controllable for a MOA rig. Is this true? Is a pistol radio not a good choice? I am going to build a bully MOA and was just wondering what you all prefer?

Stick radio for supers. for 2.2 Dx3r w/punk dig and 4pk for dual esc. both work well. dual escs is very hard to get use to. single and punk dig is easy and work great. 4pk and dual esc's is the best way to get the most out of your moa.

Ya I plan on running a sidewinder with a punk dig and dual HH 35t handwounds.

I was thinking about just getting the dx3 cause it is still 3 pos 3 ch.... I dont need much more than that.

I am using a dx6i with my bully and punk dig. I like it alot, but i have always used a stick radio. What i do like it the dig position switches are the same for my shafty also, so its easy to drive both of them back to back without being confused.
I am having some stall issues and am looking at other options since i have a extra fxr around. I watched a guy run a 4 pk with 2 esc's and it worked great.
But as long as you have a 3 pos third channel it will work out otherwise.

Take a look at the 3PMx if you are just going to run a dig switch.

don't get discouraged by dual esc and 4pk....drive it like a regular 3 channel until your real comfortable..practice like crazy with it until your comp comfortable with the adjusting front and rear esc %'s

I run the Futaba 6EX. A stick radio gives the ultimate control but you have to practice with it. Its alot cheaper than a 4PK too.

I'm pretty sure the 3.0 has only a 2 position switch on the 3rd channel and ya need 3 positions to run front dig, rear dig and 4 wheel drive.:-(

Yeah, with that setup you dont need a stick radio.

I believe that the DX3 is only a 2 position switch...

he's wrong its only 2 position 3 channel. but if you keep the aux channel servo reversing on the LCD the you can reverse the channel and get rear dig. Pm if you have a problem and i can call to help you out

Would the servo reversing work with his setup? I tried to get my dx3s working like that with a punk dig switch, and It would just not register either direction as neutral. No matter what I set my trim or EPA at. So it was either Front or Rear dig, no 4WD. Maybe someone knows how to get it to work?
