The guy at the Hobby store told me That you can run the motor in WD-40 for hr or so and it would make it like a brushless motor. So he said. I don't know if thats true or not. But that would give a little more power.

WTF? brushless motors are BRUSHLESS, therefore have no brushes!! How can a motor with brushes be brushless? Inless the WD40 causes the motor to completely burn up the brushes in those little things then he is correct, and everybody who tries is it a dumbass

Just take the motor out and run down to radio shack and see if they have anything comparable

Radio shack should have the motors. a 280 motor isn't that hard to find.

you might even be able to purchase some 280 motors from the hobby shop... i think the mini quake/mini-z/mini mauler/mini-t/xmods/mini giant/micro rs4.... i know at least one of them uses a 280 size motor and most of them offer upgraded motors to.. same size.. see your hobby shop... well.. not the one that suggested the wd40 idea... go somewhere else where they know what they are talkin about. I have only heard of droppin the motor while running in a glass of watter to break in the brushes... wd40 no.

Just get a couple of these. They will be a hell of alot stronger than the Nylints motors. I might pick some up myself just to try it out.

The stock AE 280's would be a better option, they have much more torque and less rpm's.
