winter ?

I have never driven my crawlerz in the snow, but I have taken my E-MAXX and a couple of my cars in the snow before. It's hard not to have here since winter lasts 8 months plus out of the year.

With the torque and tires, we should put the crawlers to work! Seal up the electronics, maybe put some weight on it and stiffer springs, an then fab up a plow so you can clear the sidewalk from inside! (YMMV :P )

Yeah I like to do indoor racing too. Also, MINI GIANTS for INDOOR winter fun. I hate the cold lol.

man i miss snow. im originally from iowa where 6inches of snow is nothing and 10 inches only dealys school. now im in nashville and a inch of snow shuts down almost everything. last year we got 2 inches all winter and it was gone that day. hopefully we'll get a little so i can run my savage in it. crawlers would be fun in the creek bed if it was icy.

damn I wished it snowed here well there is snow...but right at the bottom which is like 15 hours from me and our winters get down to a very cold 60-70f

Wow, that's COLD Must be nice, I would even settle for a WINTER Temp of around 32F instead of the usual -40F to 0F WINTER temps here. (and that's w/o windchill)

I love winter driving especially but over here in the north of England, UK we have to drive in wet conditions most of the time. I posted this pic elsewhere in the forum but here it as again, a little waterproof box for the ESC and receiver. I fit these to nearly all of my trucks.

and over here in the UK it is almost mandatory to drive thru any muddy puddle so waterproof electrics are very useful

Where did you get the box?Also you have no air getting to it?But doesnt the rooster have a thermal shutdown if it gets too hot,So wouldnt that protect you?And also what you guys do for servos,Just smear the case with vasoline?

I sealed mine with Goop Marine.

Just pick a box and fan below and wham no longer have to worry. Seal up all the servos with Shoe Goo or Marine Goop.

well with the new esc from novak, water isnt gonna be an issue for the esc and the rec is an easy fix.

I just smear vaseline over my servo and I've not lost any due to water ingress.

The box above isn't fitted with a fan because the 550 motor and reduction unit mean the super rooster hardly gets warm even after an hours use.

I don't need to use stainless screws because when I've finished running the trucks I hose them down with fresh water and then spray them with WD40. This works well and I've not got any really rusty parts on any of my trucks. The only problem I have had is axle bearings getting rusty but then they only cost a few pound to replace.
