Default Are bodies covered under warranty?

I finished taking my body on mine apart tonight. Gona paint it up sometimes soon.

3 of the body mounts (screw holes) were broken off.

Think they will cover this?

I got one on the orange body near the windshield, one under the floor (black part) and one where the roll cage connects too...

Think they will warrant that and send me a new one? Maybe even give me the option for a different body? Heh

Thanks

I think what customer service does, is gives you about 2 free bees where they send out a replacement part no questions asked, but after that its too bad so sad. My new chasis still hasnt come though, its been 2 months.

So you broke the body mounts yourself. And now you want them to send you a new one. That doesn't seem like thier problem.

Let me get this straight.... You rolled the Jeep over and over laughing at every roll and now you were taking it apart to modify it and to your surprise the mounts were broken. So then you decide to ask if we think Nylint will warranty it.

You guys never cease to amaze me.

If people keep doing this. Nylint will stop making them. Don't take advantage of their nice C.S...Look at it this way. Gives you an reason to put a different body on it that no one esle as yet.

It was more of the fact that when I removed it from the box, the white foam stuff was cracked, and I heard something rattle in the body.

I never rolled it, and have yet to. Roll cage and body are still crack free

I think something happened in the box/delivery and somehow stressed the pegs, no I didnt break them off, one of them was already off the body, had to get pliers to get the screw out of it:?

Just fix it yourself. Ducktape works.

If that is the case (your jeep is very new and has not been rolled) then I don't see a problem with a warranty replacement body.

I just don't see how any other part of the body would not show sign's of damage or stress if the mounts were in fact broken during shipment.

after looking at the body, i can see stress points on the body. Like the black plastic has white strain lines on it... so Im gona guess the whole box got jarred or twisted.

Im gona call friday, wana call before Xmas lol, if I can get a new one, ill use this as a practice one^^ something for the trail and to teach my gf how to drive them lol

Wish me luck with the last part

Man that box would have been torn to sheards before a body mount would break. I mean I have rolled, dropped and had a 20 month old kid sit on it and ride it. And nothings broke. I just think that the box would be torn in half.

You'd be suprised, i've had bikes come out of fine looking boxes that had problems, like my beach cruiser (50's-60's Monark Silver King, origninal except the tires and seat), the box looked fine considering it had been used twice (it was a felt bikes box), but my fork legs were bent in to the point where the tire wouldn't fit through them.

Body posts could be quickly repaired by the following:

CA
JB Weld
Goop

Take your pick.

Just get a universal body mounting kit. Like this kit I used for my Scorpion, or this kit I'm using on my little one. It works perfect and costs $8. Problem solved. :-P

Or here is an idea - why don't people start asking if they can buy replacement parts?

there are a lot of processes that can happen before a product is placed in its packaging. Just because the box looks fine doesn't mean the contents are in good condition.
