Seriously though, traction.

I do not know about that. My wimpy clod gave me my best run yet. My hybrid E/T Maxx has worked good some times amd other times not so good.

But I would have to agree with Mr. Digler that traction is the biggest problem and if that was solved then the stering servo would be next in line.

I can't wait to get a set and Cut-N-Shut those bitches.

I bought a set of jumbo swamps and was literaly depressed when I got them. they werent but like 1/16" bigger than my stock TXT tires and they were wider :( the new Clod swampers should be alot better though if they are how big they say they are. - they are due out the end of Nov.

All depends on your opinion I guess. In the Colorado/Utah comps a short wide tire is nice cuz it keeps yer CG low and aids in stability. Kaetwo and Pinchy both have a set of narrowed and full width Giant Tracs. I have seen them switch back and forth depending on the courses.

Giant Tracs seem to be the benchmark of tire performance IMHO, I hope IMEX did the new Clod Swamp Dawg right.

i think the only problem with the traction on rc's is because of the weight...
maybe if they were about scale weight the traction wouldnt be an isue? i dunno, because my maxx is like 25lbs and i dont have a problem with traction ever. but then i have my jugg/mad force/pede thing that weighs 8lbs and loses traction quite a bit during a run..
