| 2010 Dorkstar Hybrid Took me a few minutes to remember where it was located. As far as I know there wasn't much info or pics posted of it though. |

I've seen another rig built the same way. He couldn't keep ring and pinion gears in it though. The 1/16th stuff needs more beef to be really practical.

most 1:1 guys are trying to switch from IFS to straight axle.....i dont understand why you want to do the opposite |

IFS had advantage over Solid axle when it comes to suspension in an application such as a rockracer. Take my Savage nitro for example....it would walk over my scx10 if the scx10 could even reach those speeds which still wouldnt matter. more plush of a ride with IFS vs solid axle. i wouldnt think of having a setup using an AX10 axle if i were looking for a quick to the end rockracer imo? on another note: if i dont sell off my e-slash i may even do this myself and build a rockracer. i seen a tuber at my local hobby for like 15.00 |

| I am looking at a rock racer/basher that can handle rough terrain with a bit of speed.I still have plenty of rigs for rock crawling and scale rigs to play with... |

Shannon Campbell and Walker Evans both run or have run IFS rock racers. The 2010 KOH had atleast 2 maybe more IFS buggies to run in it. But they didn't switch from IFS to solid they just built the IFS from the begining of the build up. So if your were to build a scale IFS buggy from the start you wouldn't be switching you would just build or choose to purchase the IFS from the begining instead of solid axle. Bottom line its for going fast and jumping, then hitting the trails.

The 1:1 guys are running ifs for ultra4 rigs which compete in a variety of events that almost always involve highspeeds at some point. But so far the solid axle cars have won most everything. mainly due to dead simplicity, relative low cost, and ease of availability. As far as using mini erevo parts in a 2.2 rig its possible but risky as the parts just arent made to handle the stress of big tires on rocks.

| All in the applications. I remember way back when there were always criticisms of being too fast in rock crawling, both RC and 1:1. You'd hear things like "slow it down, this aint rock racing". Now rock racing actually exists and is popular.

Yes it is. R2J build's the best chassis I have ever own. His welds are perfect. Some time there are just thing you want and I am a spoiled brat. Indy isn't going any where I just bought some MIP drive shafts for the front and back. It is now bullet proof.

| Cool. I definently want to build one of these. What is the wheel base you are running with that. I am a welder, so I will be building my own chassis.
