| Losi Shock question
I bought two sets of Losi crawler shocks for my rigs...The silver ball at the end of the shock used for mounting them, the hole is smaller than 3mm? What mounting hardware do all of you use? I carefully gripped the first four with pliers and drilled them out, but that seems stupid. Am I mising something? |

They are probably 4-40....that is just a hair smaller than 3mm. Losi uses a LOT of standard stuff....hell, everything on the LCC is 4-40.... |

I had the same problem, I ditched the Losi ends and used Traxxas ends on mine. The rod end is hex but the Losi spring bucket fits on to it toghter and helps them from popping off.

| Not revo ends I guess because they were too big for the shaft size. Which ones did you use?

Probably either these: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...1&I=LXDDV6&P=K or these: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...1&I=LXJG69&P=K Either of those fit on almost every shock I have ever used. |

| I used the ones in the second link JeremH posted. I can't remember the part number. I wanna say #1942 but I think thats the Stampied shafts. I use them on both sets of my Losi Crawler shocks, and like I say the buckets fit the hex part tighter than if you used a round rod end.

losi always uses standard hardware along with the occasional metric piece but the majority is standard more specifically 4-40. but you can get away with 2.5mm

Losi's high quality race vehicles feature all SAE screws. The shocks were originally on the Losi race trucks, hence SAE hardware. Horizon Hobbies bastardized Losi products use Metric screws. | |
