Well that is awesome, brings realisme to the next level. As cool as it is it was not the one I was looking for, the one I need showed a step by step how to put the servo into the body. Now to go watch those vids again !! | |

If you're working in 1:6th scale, there's actually quite a bit of stuff available in the RC Tanking world. Just Google "rc animatronics" you'll find some cool stuff. Check out this 1:6th scale Tiger's crew: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RHpZ1z6OZY For just a head, I'd think a micro servo would serve. Hide it in the "body cavity" with a stem for the neck. Y-harness it to the steering servo and go. |

Thanks Mike, that is what I am looking for. Someone on here did that to there 1/6th driver...in a Jeep I think. They had the steering wheel and driver head turn with the front wheels. I was hoping to find that post to get more info on how they hogged out the body to fit and whick servo and 3 way splitter they used. |

I definitely remember the thread had some funny drawings that showed where they carved out the body cavity for the servo and how they glued a servo horn into the neck so the head would just slip back on. Now you have me looking in the archives trying to find this!

| I need to make it a personal sticky... I completely missed the correct thread and I thought I had looked at every Willys build done in the past year. Darin- I finally found the link to the MRE case printout, it turned out pretty good! |
