I am looking at getting this setup and contemplating power infrastructure in my garage.

Thanks!
If that is the listed amp draw at 115V then my suggestion would be the following...

20A breaker
#12 wire min (#10's if a long distance to panel)
20A rated receptacle (single or duplex)

Make this a dedicated circuit (no other receptacles on it)

I've got the wiring in place @ #12 romex
Just need to upgrade the breaker and outlet.
...and get the welder.

Not to break the bank but starting July 1 most things are to be arc fault protected and the cost went from a 7.00 breaker to a 65.00 breaker. Unless it's in your garage. Then feeder can be Gfci protected. Not saying the outlet will need to be a gfi but the breaker will need to be. First check with local authority when this code change comes into effect in your area first. NEC2014

/\......in a commercial application they have been requiring that for a couple years now. (Around my neck of the woods anyway)

But we're talking residential here, with no permit, where the home owner is performing the work.

Harley, where did you find the connector to plug into the welder for the pedal?

Exactly.

I'm not going to pull a permit to replace a breaker and a receptacle...

Sorry I missed your comment! I actually got it right from RazorWeld. I can try and get a model number off it and post up as well.

I was curious if it's possible to include the amperage control into the pedal mod with this machine as well (obviously it would require more than a momentary switch). toybuilder did that with his and it was a nice feature.

TIG Welder Foot Control

I really want to get a TIG at home, and like the looks of your machine.
