| Anyone use "Green Grease"?
Just grabbed some of this at the auto store. Its a marine grease called Green Grease. I run through a lot of water so I figured this stuff would be better than Lucas Red and Tacky... Anyways, I havent seen anything on it through my searches, and Im just wondering as to if its safe for plastic or not? Doesn't say on the tube, although it did come in a plastic container... |

People over think the grease thing. Any good grease will work. A nice even layer to lube the parts is what you're looking for.

Green Grease is all that I will buy, I use it on trailers, mowers, trucks, jet skis & farm equipment. I guess the only thing that I have not used it on is my RC's. I got hooked on it a few years ago when I have a Polaris RZR. Green Grease repels water like nobody's business. Great product, just a little high @ 7.00 a tube from Autozone.

It's all I use...each time I tear down my axels it's still stuck to my gears...I like that And at $6.95 for a 16 oz tub...I won't run out of it any time soon and I share it with my Crawl mates |

i've been using mobil1 synthetic with no issues. I've heard petroleum products can cause plastic to soften. I used generic bearing grease in the trans. for the first year. Never saw any plastic softening. Maybe thats just a myth (softening)

i used is on my scx10, works great, that truck stayed in the mud & water and i never had a problem with bearings, i did do a little trick though, i drilled 2 1/8'' holes in the housing (one in the top & one in the bottom) and pluged them with real short m3 screws, every time i took it out it the mud after i cleaned it back up i had a Tony Chachere's meat injector ( like a big syringe) that i cut the tip off flat and filled it with the green grease, then i pulled the little screws out and injected grease in the top until clean grease came out the bottom

Yes marine grease is also all I use but i've been trying out silicone sprays like gun lube and CowRC's Moo-Slick and I love this stuff for gears cvd,s or ect and so far so good. I've noticed that if I keep a layer of silicone spray on the gears in my rigs theres not as much wear |
